- Wash and rinse the dal then drain out excess water. - Then, pressure cook dal with turmeric powder,salt and water.
- Once the dal is boiled, switch off the gas and let the pressure release on it's own
- Wash and rinse the spinach leaves and finely chop them and keep aside.
- Take a pan and add ghee - Now add cumin seeds - When they splutter add chopped onions and sauté - Add ginger paste and sauté till raw smell goes
- Add masalas and stir - Add chopped tomato and sauté till it’s mushy nicely - Now add the chopped palak leaves and let them cook for 2-3 minutes only. - Once they are cooked add boiled dal to it
- Stir and mix well. Simmer for a few minutes and remove from flame. - Sprinkle little garam masala over it and serve hot
