The ingredients needed to make Khaja:
  1. Get refined flour (maida)
  2. Prepare sugar
  3. Make ready cardamom
  4. Make ready salt
  5. Get water
  6. Prepare ghee
  7. Prepare As Required Oil or ghee for frying
  8. Take As required Pista for garnishing

Instructions to make Khaja:
  1. Take a parat add maida,add salt,add 3 tbsp ghee in it for moain.Rub it properly with hands.
  2. Now add little water and make a soft dough not so tight not so soft.Rest for 15 minutes.
  3. In the meanwhile make a sugar syrup. Take a pan add sugar and 1/2 cup water in it and add one crushed cardamom and cook it till we get one string syrup as shown in the photo.
  4. Now keep it aside. Now make 5 medium size balls from the dough and roll it into the thin chapatis.
  5. Now take first chapati brush it with ghee sprinkle some refined flour on it and cover it with the 2nd chapati,like this we complete all the layers of 5 chapatis.
  6. Now roll this chapati tightly with soft hands and paste the last edge with water.Then cut it in to pieces as shown in the pic.
  7. Now take one piece, flat it with the palm from the upper side and roll it with the rolling pin.
  8. Take a wok add oil and heat on the low flame and add khajas in it one by one and cook it on low medium flame till golden colour from both sides.
  9. Now dip these khajas in the sugar syrup for 2 minutes and garnish it with pista. our Khaja sweet dish is ready to serve.
