The ingredients needed to make Khaja:
  1. Take 1 cup Maida
  2. Prepare 1 cup sugar
  3. Prepare 1 Tbsp oil
  4. Get 1/2 cup water
  5. Get 1 green cardamom
  6. Get as required Oil
  7. Prepare as per taste Salt

Steps to make Khaja:
  1. In a bowl add sugar to water and bring it to boil to prepare the syrup. Keep stirring on low flame until the syrup is threadlike. Set aside
  2. In a bowl add Maida, salt and little water to make a dough. The dough should neither be soft or hard. Keep it covered with a Muslin cloth for 15 mins.
  3. Beat the dough again and make 5 balls out of it. With a rolling pin make a Roti like and set aside.
  4. Once done for all then take one Roti like structure and grease with oil, dust Maida and place the second one on top of it. Do for the next one and place on top of the first
  5. Repeat for all. Once done press hard and roll in a tight way till the end. Cut one side of the roll and with a knife cut 7 parts
  6. Press one side of your palm on the roll. With a rolling pin press a little. Set aside
  7. In a wok heat oil. Reduce the oil and fry the Khaja slowly. Each side 2-3 mins and then flip. Once all are done. Dip individually into the sugar syrup
  8. Plate and enjoy eating.
