Drain the water from the soaked rice and put them into the boiling water and stir. Cook rice about 70% and then strain them properly. Add cooked chicken in rice as layers. First some rice then chicken and then again rice. Mix the color separately in milk or water and spread it on the rice with the help of spoon. Spread lemon juice on the top.
  4. Cover it with the lid and put some thing heavy upon it. Keep it on the low flame for 15 minutes. Chicken dum biryani is ready. Mix it before serve. Serve it with raita.
