  1. In a large bowl add finely chopped onions, tomatoes, green chilli, coriander leaves and few curry leaves. also add salt as per the taste. After adding salt, mix it properly with big spoon and keep it aside.
  2. In a large bowling mix add rava/sooji/semolina add yoghurt/curd and mix well rava and curd.
  3. Now add water and make a thick batter. add some more water if required.add salt and mix it well. keep it aside for 20 minutes.
  4. After 20 minutes, now add baking soda. once baking soda is added, start preparing uthappa immediately.
  5. In a dosa pan pour a ladleful of uttapam batter and spread in a circular motion. maintain the thickness of uthappa and it should not be like thin dosa.
  6. Now spread the toppings on top of the uthappa evenly. after the topping have been added press gently so the toppings are pressed into the batter.
  7. Add 1 tsp of oil around the uthappa.cover it and let it cook for 1-2 minutes in low flame.flip over on the other side once the uthappa turns golden brown. cook it for 1-2 minutes in a low flame.
  8. Your rava uttapam is ready. serve it with chutney of your choice
