- Take out after 30 minutes turn the meat over then add the cornflour in a drop of water pour in and mix in the sauce. Add back to the oven lower the heat to 160Β°C for a further 30 minutes.
- When the time is up it will be less liquid and have a lovely thick tasting sauce. But you get a little grease of oil on top just pour it off slowly not to pour the sauce out too. lovely crisp veg with this dish I went for homemade chips.
One of my favorites is definitely the spicy Korean tofu called dubu jorim, which is tofu cooked and braised in a spicy and savory sauce. In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, combine the water, sugar, vinegar, fish sauce and salt. Add the chilli and garlic mixture and simmer until sugar dissolves. Whisk in the potato starch mixture and gently simmer. I have always thought that braising one whole poultry would be difficult especially you are not sure if the flavors of the braised sauce would be able to I was really awed by the end result of the braised duck that I even had more than my usual helpings of it !!
