- Soak daal and rice in water separately for 20mins.
- Heat oil in a wok. Add onion and fry it until golden brown. Add ginger garlic paste and crushed green chilli.
- Add daal and cook it add 1 cup water and salt and dry spices fry it. Then cover it for 10 mins so that daal become soft.
- Add 6 cups water, let it boil for 5mins more.
- Then add strained rice init. Let it cook on low heat for 10mins.
- Check the rice is fully cooked then off the flame and simmer it for 5 minutes.
