  1. Take cooker add 1 tsp oil. When it gets hot add cumin seeds after crackling cumin seeds add curry leaves and garlic after few min add onion.
  2. When Onion gets brown colour add tomatoes and saute for 5 minutes. When tomatoes gets soft add all dry ingredients and moong saute for 5 minutes.
  3. Now add water according and close the lid of the cooker. When the cooker give 2 whistles now switch off the flame.
  4. Now enjoy masala moong with chapati or rice.

If cooking in a pot, cook it on a medium heat adding more water as needed. Moong dal should be soft cooked. Turn off the heat and add red chilli powder, garam masala and turmeric. Add this to the cooked moong dal. In a pressure cooker, add the. finally, serve moong dal chakli with masala tea or masala milk.
