The ingredients needed to make Matar paneer:
  1. Make ready 100 gm paneer
  2. Make ready 50 gms green peas if you want take same quantity of paneer
  3. Get 1 big tomato puree
  4. Make ready 1 big size onion puree
  5. Get as required Ginger garlic and green chilli paste
  6. Take 1 tbsp Cumin seeds
  7. Prepare as required Some of spices like bay leaf, Cinnamon and clove and cardmom
  8. Prepare as per taste Red chilli powder
  9. Prepare 1 tsp Turmeric powder
  10. Get 1/2 tbsp Coriander powder
  11. Prepare as per taste Kitchen king masla
  12. Get as per need coriander leaves
  13. Get as required Dried fenugreek leaves

Punjabi Style Matar Paneer Recipe: Cubed and fried paneer chunks, sauteed with peas, green chillies along with a host of spices, tomatoes and ginger garlic paste. Matar paneer is a classic vegetarian curry of Indian cheese and peas cooked in a tomato-based sauce. Frying the cheese until golden makes a big difference to the flavour and texture of the curry so don't. Matar paneer is a delicious curry made of paneer cubes and fresh peas cooked in a rich, spicy and tangy gravy.

Steps to make Matar paneer:
  1. First boil the peas if it is frozen if it is not don't need to boil.
  2. Then take a pan add 3tbsp of ghee add some whole spices like bay leaf as they releases smell take out of ghee
  3. Now add cumin seeds and ginger garlic paste the add onion puree saute it for 3-4 min.
  4. Then add tomato puree and saute it for 2-3 min. Now add all the spices and cover it for 4-5 min. Or until the puree releases ghee
  5. Take another pan add 1tsp ghee Saute paneer cubes in ghee with ginger and green chilli strands for a while then add it to puree. Along with peas.
  6. Yummy matar paneer is ready go serve.
